Banksy’s Subversive Street Art Exhibition Arrives in Catania

After successful stops in Monza and Mestre, the highly anticipated Banksy exhibition has arrived in Catania, showcasing three original walls by the enigmatic street artist from Bristol.

Curated by renowned art historian Sabina De Gregori, this retrospective brings some of Banksy’s most iconic works to Sicily. Visitors can marvel at the famous Girl with Balloon from 2003, depicting a girl letting go of a heart-shaped balloon, alongside other notable pieces.

Experience Banksy’s Original Walls in Catania

The exhibition features three original walls, allowing visitors to see Banksy’s art up close. One highlight is Season’s Greetings, a piece on a wall from Port Talbot, Wales, created in 2018. It shows a child playing with what appear to be snowflakes, which are actually ash from a burning dumpster, delivering a powerful environmental message.

Other original walls on display include Heart Boy, featuring a young boy drawing a red heart, and Robot/Computer Boy, depicting a child dressed as a robot drawing a stylized automaton on a wall in Devon, UK. These works are on loan from private collections, adding to the unique experience of the exhibition.
