Evening Guided Tours

After last year’s success, we are resuming the extraordinary evening guided tours at the Sant’Agata al Carcere Sanctuary, an unmissable event to discover a place that is a treasure trove of history and tradition in our city.

The site on which the Sanctuary stands today has been a crossroads of art and tradition for twenty-six centuries of Catanese history, and since 251 AD, it has been dedicated to the Martyr and patron saint of the city. The guided tours will be available by reservation. Dates: January 20 – March 16 – April 20 – May 18 – June 15 – July 20 – August 16. Departures at 18:00 / 19:30 / 21:00. Duration approximately 1 hour.

The visit includes the archaeological excavations, the exhibition hall, the terrace, the church, and the Holy Prison. Participation fee: €5.00 (free for children up to 10 years old). Meeting point with the guide and departure from the entrance desk. The tours will be conducted in limited groups. RESERVATION REQUIRED.
